Had tears for this one, partly because she is gone, partly because it brings back memories of car trips down back roads of California with my ex. Just like the song, and like Nanci herself, sweet, sad, nostalgic, and at heart, very good reasons to enjoy this short time we have here.

Why aren't we all celebrating Nancy

Exquisite she was. My kids’ dad loved her, loved her so, and he died in 2012 at age 63. And now I just found out that Nanci died in 2021 at 68. He brought her music to us, and we loved her, too. 💔❤️💕

Seen Nanci play in Dundrum Co Tipperary Ireland i think it was 1991 / 92 brings back such memories to me ever time i hear her . Amazing voices of my younger years.

There were investors, pushing Nancy's music. And they all made money, but the investors thought they should have made more on her. Rumor has it, that sweet voice of Nancy's stood up for herself. Leaving the men somewhat speechless, whom thought she would be a push over, or they just thought of her as a product.

Yep! I love Nanci Griffith music.😊So sad she left us early. I do wonder if Eric Taylor wasn't an incredible influence on her songwriting ability.😮 I cried when Eric died. I hope they are together in eternity. I don't think he ever got over her.
